I am an Oxford-based artist with a First-Class Honours Degree in Fine Art, from York St John University. My practice is informed by research into disability and personal representation, using film, documentation, and performance as recurring expressive elements of communication. My practice aims to contribute to conversations surrounding disability, whilst researching how my own disability fits in socio-political spheres within contemporary and visual arts. I use my body as material through performance processes to communicate concepts of ability, pain, and stretching, whilst providing direct political commentary and discourse on social policy and accessibility. My work aims to challenge patriarchal and ableist political ideology, whilst navigating my bodily experience through the current political climates that force me to justify my existence and value as a disabled woman and artist.
